C-Cat Sportfishing Charters
with Captain Chuck Catri offers private charters for groups of six people or less. C-Cat is a 28-foot Wellcraft equipped with everything a fisherman could want. Lake Erie hosts one of the largest fresh water fishing fleets on the globe and Sandusky is in the heart of the action. Choosing a charter can be a very confusing chore -- and mean the difference between a day of fun fishing or a day of frenzy.

The captain is a U.S Coast Guard Certified, State Certified Fishing Guide and has many years experience fishing on Lake Erie for walleye, perch and catfish.

The fishing season begins in mid-May and runs to November 1st, subject to weather.

Charter Rates

Perch -- 4 hours dock to dock or limit -- $280 -- Departure time is flexible

Walleye Full Day -- 8 hours dock to dock or limit -- $500 -- Departure normally 7 a.m.

Walleye Half Day -- 4 hours dock to dock or limit -- $315 -- Departure normally 7 a.m.

*FUEL SURCHARGE MAY BE ADDED

A $100 deposit
is required to secure your reservation. The deposit will be refunded on your 10 days advance notice of cancellation or bad weather conditions (Captain's decision).

Things to Bring:

Ohio Fishing License (Captain supplies bait and ice.)

Fishing gear, medium action with new line (8- to 10-pound test). (Optional -- Captain will supply if you do not have fishing tackle.)

Soft-soled shoes

Sunglasses and suntan lotion

Cap or hat

Food and Beverage in cooler with ice (or this can be arranged with advance notice) -- Beer and pop in cans only -- NO HARD LIQUOR OR DRUGS ALLOWED ON THIS VESSEL.

Take Dramamine according to directions if you are susceptible to sea sickness

Camera and film

Rain gear

Cooler to take home fish

General Information
Please arrive at our Sandusky dock 10 minutes before departure. Free parking is available. Due to weather and unforeseen circumstances, please call to confirm all trips. Your captain is a professional with safety in mind. He knows the waters of Lake Erie and he will determine if a charter should be cancelled due to weather. In the event this should happen, the client has two options: Reschedule for another date or have his deposit refunded.

Cleaning Your Catch If you prefer to catch 'em, but not clean 'em, we can help. The Sandusky area offers many fish cleaning facilities that provide an excellent job of filleting your catch. Cleaning arrangements can be made through your captain, and normally at the captain's rate! Limit catches on a six-person charter average from 80 to 130 pounds. The fish cleaning fee is determined by the cleaning facility, with an average rate between 90 cents to $1 per pound.
